What I love most about fertility care is the interplay between trying to solve the puzzle about what’s preventing people having the fertility success they desire, formulating a plan to try to overcome the problem(s) and then supporting patients through this part of their journey.
Dr. Jason Elliott, BSc, MSc, MD, FRCSC obtained his undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of British Columbia. He then completed his medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Manitoba. He subsequently worked as an associate physician at Heartland Fertility and Gynecology clinic and then relocated in 2014 to Toronto to complete a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons accredited fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Mount Sinai Fertility. He concurrently participated in the 2 year Clinician Investigator Program, and has recently returned to Winnipeg. Dr. Elliott is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of Manitoba, runs a reproductive endocrinology clinic at the Women’s Hospital at Health Sciences Center and is an Associate Physician at Heartland, practicing reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Dr. Elliott has been actively involved in research during all of his medical training and is currently involved in multiple studies related to polycystic ovary syndrome, endometrial receptivity, and IVF outcomes utilizing surgically obtained sperm. Dr. Elliott has written book chapters and has published his research findings in respected peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences. He is a member of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Committee of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOGC), and holds membership with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
Dr. Elliott is happy to offer patients reproductive care utilizing various fertility treatments as well as advanced surgical management of fertility-related gynecologic conditions through minimally-invasive hysteroscopy and laparoscopy approaches. Dr. Elliott looks forward to assisting individuals and couples in building their families.
